Thanks to the miracle of modern technology, I am writing this today, from the past! *woooo, woooo* 
Right now I am sitting at my desk, just another Thursday evening. But by the time y’all read this, it will be Sunday and I will be deep in the wilds of Alabama, up to my eyeballs in goopers and Palin-bots. I fully expect my step-sister to show up with her personal copy of the Wasilla Grifter’s so-called book. I hope she doesn’t leave it laying about somewhere. Someone might spill an apple juice all over it and ruin it. Or maybe set it on fire. Which would be a crying shame. Really.
While we’re gone, there will be much riding of 3 & 4 wheelers, a list of chores for the madhubby to do, and of course, a boatload of Granny spoiling the madkiddies. Then there’s the turkey and fixin’s, which is a whole other post I will share with you upon our return to semi-civilization.
It is my fervent hope that nothing earth-shattering happens in the world whilst I am away, because I probably won’t hear about it till we get home. Unless, of course, it is something bad for the President, in which case I will get it wall-to-wall because the only news channel available on cable is FAUX News. 
Since visiting/posting will be sketchy at best, I want to take the time to wish all of you a very lovely Thanksgiving. If the boid is your thing, I hope it is a succulent and delightful repast. If you’re not partaking, have an extra helping of all the yummy and vegetarian sides, and of course a big ol’ slab of pumpkin pie to finish off the meal. And, if any of you are crazy enough to attempt the Black Friday shopping madness, I shall light a candle for your saftey and a hope for a swift return to sanity 
Oh, yeah…there’s a Saints game Sunday against Tampa Bay. If past is prologue, I’m going to be a bit grayer afterward. Nevertheless….GEAUX SAINTS!

The house is tidied up after the inside guests checked out, breakfast dishes done and the pre-game show is on
We’re all dressed in our Saints gear and looking forward to watching the game on the honking bigscreen teevee!

Some of us aren’t lounging around on vacation.
Grocery shopping finished, prescription for the big kid being filled, soft foods for the hubby purchased, now off to make sugar slabs for tomorrow’s science day. Exploring erosion and how karst is formed. Pharmacy was kind enough to give me 7 medicine syringes so the kids can control the amount of water being dispersed. Then yoga and grading papers. Hopefully the yoga will give me the strength to get through the grading, which I have been putting off for far too long.

In between watching the game I’ve made a pharmacy run, folded laundry, started chicken cooking for the dog, and ran to Wally World.
At least the Saints are taking care of business without my constant input 
Madhubby has been riding around all day vacuuming leaves with the lawn attachment for the mower. The kids are riding circles in the yard on their machines.
Hey Bumz! We just got in from lunch with our Sunday friends. We had a jail break this morning. All four dogs got out!
It was Mr. Gnome’s fault, of course. I was hardly out of bed when it occurred. We got Bucky and Beulah back before we had to leave for church (if Unitarianism counts as a church . . .) and came home before lunch to find the poodles had been returned. From the message on the machine, it was a cop who caught them and put them in the yard for us! 
They are filthy and so we will prolly head into San Antonio to the self service dog wash in a bit. 
At least they did not find any skunks! 
The big kid just called the Ravens the Crows. I like it.
YUM! Ben and Jerry’s has a new flavor coming out – Maple Blondie! I hope we get it down here in the freaking South and that it is not just a regional thing like Maple Walnut, my favorite flavor.

Lea, sorry about the Steelers. It was the fault of the obnoxious Steelers fan on the Plaza last night. Just too confident as he shouted Go Steelers at all of the Kansas City locals.
