Back in the earlier days of women’s lib (the 1970s), I attended a lecture of being superwoman. Thrust of the message, you can’t do everything and if you want help, it may not be how you would do it but it gets done in some fashion. I don’t fold towels the same way my sister does–but we both get the job done. And the message of letting someone else do it differently is one I keep repeating to myself at the office.

sharonlee-there’s the rub. They want to help, and I give them easy things like towels and dishrags and such. Unfortunately, like many of their gender ( ) they have the attention span of a fruit fly and give up before the laundry is folded.

Laura-I’ll check it out. Hubby’s not too much of a troglodyte, and he’s quick to remind the boys that there’s no such thing and girl work or boy work.

Just finished folding 3 loads of laundry. Hubby decided to help by putting the loads through. Trouble is he doesn’t check to make sure they are completely dry, and he doesn’t fold. He throws each load onto the couch so I can fold them. SO I had three loads that weren’t completely dry and wrinkled to hell and back.
