]]>Fixing the car (switch where the turn signal meets the steering column) was nearly $200. Ugh.
Texteen’s new shoes and dress shirt (youth group events all weekend) were on sale at Ross.
Once again, my strategy works. Walk into Marshalls or Ross, find the ugliest shoes in the entire men’s section, and he will love them and decide that they are “tight”. Don’t even need to bring him to the store.

the final hurdle is FHA approving the house. The private inspector didn’t turn up major problems like the first house, so i’m cautiously hopeful this is actually gonna go thru.
The major drawback is me being dragged kicking and screaming to the forefront of hipness. “Mid Century Modern.” blerggity blergh. I want to stay an unhip old DFH restoring a victorian or craftsman home. 
Altho the original cabinet pulls and the original hall & entry light fixtures are to die for! Piccies will be forthcoming.

no work today! I’m going to a Dem fundraiser this evening with my mom and one of my aunts. Franni Franken is the featured guest … she’s awesome. When we elected Al, we got two for the price of one she’s a wonderful activist woman in the Sheila Wellstone vein. I would like some emblem that shows multiple animals – I guess I’d just have the marble engraved with lots of different animals and plants of Nature. My name would be little and tiny to not distract from the art! Not planning on a marble slab though, so it’s a moot point.
I just heard on the radio news that there is discussion of research of alcohol energy drinks 
On its face, how can an alcoholic energy drink be a good thing?
