Larue, when they’re talking about percent of income vs premiums, it has to be on the same period. So annual income, annual premiums.

If you’re at 133% of poverty level, you get Medicaid for free. If you’re at 4x poverty level, you can pay for Medicare at their cost (at least a 30% discount on the premiums a large group gets charged for similar coverage). So in between, you pay for Medicare coverage (which gives you a lot more choices than Medicaid) roughly proportional to where you are between 133% and 400% of poverty line.
